1. I saw someone in the notes for another post bitching about how none of the AC characters were white and therefore Fass shouldn’t be in it. Though in fairness the role was never confirmed. (Maybe he’ll be Connor, right? British descent.)
2. Yeah, that explanation does make sense. Until another term comes up this will suffice?
3. Lucy Liu: pretty, talented, already famous. I’m not really seeing the big step either. Maybe the fuss is because she was cast in a role typically given to a white male, so everyone was pleased at how subversive it was. (But really: Name five East Asian actresses who aren’t Lucy Liu and weren’t the three in Memoirs of A Geisha. Snrk.)
